How To: Take Care of Your Skin While Traveling

Space is limited when traveling with one carry-on, but Colleen Rothschild Beauty has the perfect travel-size goodies of all its essentials.

[one_half]Hi loves,

If you have followed me for some time now, you must know that I only travel with a carry-on. Yep, that’s right! But even though space is somewhat limited and quite a commodity, I never leave my must-have skincare products behind. You probably also know that I’ve raved about Colleen Rothschild Beauty ever since I shared this on my Instagram feed, and that is why today I have partnered with this amazing skincare line to share how you don’t need to sacrifice your skincare routine while traveling.

First, let’s rewind to a few weeks before my trip to Europe (in May), when I posted on my Instagram Stories that I had come across Colleen Rothschild’s Discovery Collection. The collection includes seven of the brand’s must-haves in a travel-ready bag, including my favorite cleanser (#TotalScore). Not only was I able to continue my skincare routine while abroad, but I happened to try other products, that I have now come to love.

Now, let’s fast forward to August, where the next travel destination was sunny Punta Cana (read & see more about it here). I, of course, packed my new favorite travel-size goodies, so allow me share how I use them:

Step 1 | Radiant Cleansing Balm

This is one of my favorites because it is nothing like other cleansers I’ve used before. It is formulated to remove impurities, clear congested pores and dissolve eye and face makeup. Every night, after I remove my makeup with a wipe (and even if I am not wearing makeup) I rub a dollop size in my fingertips and massage all over my skin; I use circular motions until a subtle lather is created. I then use the muslin clothe (that’s included) and run it in warm water. I wring it damp and remove the product from my face.

Paso 1 | Radiant Cleansing Balm

Step 2 | Clarifying Detox Mask or Dual Enzyme Polish

Here is another product to ensure your skin is free of pollutants, and ladies it sure does the trick! This charcoal mask works wonders to remove trapped dirt; its main ingredient draws out pore clogging impurities. But what makes it really especial is that contains glycolic acid. It’s gentle yet very effective, leaving your complexion balanced and fresh. And unlike other charcoal masks I’ve used, does not leave your skin stripped or dehydrated. I use it every other day, for 10 minutes, after cleansing. My favorite thing about it is the minty feeling it leaves behind.

The Dual Enzyme Polish is another mask that is ideal when you feel that your skin needs an extra pick-me-up. It is formulated to remove dull cells from the skin’s surface with microspheres. It exfoliates with its fruit enzymes and leaves the skin refined and radiant. I use this twice a week (alternating it with the above Clarifying Detox Mask) and use circular motions while applying it. I leave it on for 10 minutes and remove.

Step 3 | Sheer Renewal Cream

This oil-free cream provides continuous hydration and it helps promote new cell turnover. I love that it creates a light breathable barrier against environmental factors and works great under makeup. I apply it every night after I use a mask (mentioned above) and in the morning before heading out.

Step 4 |  Extreme Recovery Cream  or Face Oil No. 9

I’ve shared in the past that I suffer from dry skin, and this has worked wonders in providing a higher level of moisture when I need an extra boost of hydration. I use it when needed after applying the Sheer Renewal Cream (mentioned above).

Face oils are undeniably the latest craze in skincare and Face Oil No. 9 combines nine transformative oils that provide an intense moisture boost. It nourishes skin and leaves your complexion radiant and ready to combat dehydration. I apply 2-3 drops onto my face and décolleté and alternate it between the Extreme Recovery Cream (mentioned above) ever so often. And it’s one of my favorite products to apply before my makeup when I know my skin needs the boost.

And ladies, all these products are great for every skin type! From acne-prone to oily and young to aging. Just because I have dry skin, does not mean they won’t work for you. And guess what? For a limited time, you can use code MEI20 to get a 20% discount at checkout (until September 19). If you haven’t yet tried any of these products now is your chance.

PS: I am currently without power due to hurricane Irma, but I was able to go to a nearby Starbucks to power up some essentials (cell, laptop, external cell charger, etc.) and publish this post for you all. In fact, I wrote it a few days ago when I needed some distraction while hurricane Irma was passing by Miami.

Paso 3 | Sheer Renewal Cream

Paso 4 | Extreme Recovery Cream  o Face Oil No. 9
