Hi all,

I know for a fact that many living up north are having maj Spring temperature envy right now. Duly noted, I would too!!! I actually have a few blogger besties who are desperately craving nicer temperatures and have boycotted the weather by rocking spring outfits no matter if there is snow on the ground.

For us in South Florida (and a few other states) we are in fact, feeling the first signs of summer already. Yep! The heat and humidity surely didn’t take long in making their appearance. But just like my up-north gals, I refuse to let the Miami weather skip one of my favorite seasons. I love wearing light layers and patterns during spring. A jacket, light cotton scarf or vest can really tie an outfit together. And if you are in the same boat (weather and layers), we have to be smart about the pieces we opt for during hotter-than-expected temperatures.

¡Hola a todas!

[one_half]That is why this utility jacket has become my go-to for the last few weeks. I first wore it during my trip to the #WeAllGrow Summit in California, where the temperature was in the 40’s. And after returning home, I have able to transition it from California’s cooler temperatures to Miami’s, by pairing with the right pieces, like in this look.

The polka dot top is super soft and airy (less than $23 by the way and available on other patterns), and the jacket, keeps you comfy because of the soft cotton-blend fabric. You can also roll up the sleeves like I did, for a more casual and lightweight feel.

I plan on featuring this same jacket a few more times around here, so stay tuned if you’ve always wondered how to style a one several ways. And by the way, if you are a fan of the military look, check out this fun take the trend and this floral appliqué one as well.
